Prodibio is a company specializing in the creation of natural products in the fields of freshwater and seawater aquariums. For more than 25 years, we have been developing with our teams of researchers, products to facilitate the implementation place and maintenance of your aquariums.

Exaqua photometers were developed as a result of the research and development project started in 2014 by the ZOOLEK company. The aim was to build a photometer that would break the barrier of availability and convenience in using for this type of measuring instrument. The project was implemented in cooperation with research units and co-financed by the European Union. It was also awarded in the Competition of the Marshal of the Lodz Voivodship “Project with potential”. For its implementation, apart from the chemical laboratories operating in the company for a long time, the R&D and production departments in the field of electronics were built.

The concept of Kessil started with three UC Berkeley graduates: a plant biologist, a computer scientist, and a physicist. The plant biologist is an avid hobbyist who dabbles in indoor farming and recognizes the importance of good lighting. The computer scientist has years of working with Lithium (a leading company that connects online communities to businesses) and knows the benefits of producing and refining a product through social media interactions with customers. Lastly, the physicist has over a decade of experience in the photonics industry with DiCon Fiberoptics, Inc. and has a deep understanding of the strength in DiCon's high power LED platform. Adding to these three personalities are years of close friendship and experience in working together on various projects.

Dr. Hovanec’s groundbreaking research on nitrifying bacteria led to him discovering and developing BioSpira® and then DrTim’s Aquatics One & Only Live Nitrifying Bacteria.
